I was the type of person who up until my late 30s could eat whatever I wanted and never work out and rarely gained a pound. Doctors will never admit that anyone should eat less than 1200 but my doctor looked at me and basically said 1200 is the maximum you can eat. At this point I have two choices, be miserable and hungry all of the time, or be 20 pounds over weight and be happy, I chose the latter.
